California Vacation 2001

Summer of 01, I decided after a conversation with my best friend/nephew Joe that I just had to check out San Diego.  Joe has been stationed at Miramar Marine base for a couple of years now.  Every time we talked he would always tell me that California would suit me, and just how cool it was out there.  I took a week off from work and headed out on another great adventure.  Every time I see Joe my pride swells seeing what a fine man that he has grown to be.  Joe is a military police officer now, but that does not mean that he has forgotten the skill that I passed down to him. That skill would be how to raise a little hell, and PARTY!  Every day I spent there was a blast. When we were not spending time with his little boy Logan and his wife Britney, we were hanging out around the beach. He was right, California does suit me, the weather is wonderful all year round, and there are always things to do. It just seems that the people walk to a different beat, a lot faster one than here in Oklahoma.  

One of my best buds Mike has a son Joey that lives in San Francisco, so it worked out perfect that Mike would take his vacation at the same time to go see Joey.  Mid-way through the week, Mike flew into San Diego, and hooked up with Joe and me.  Here are some cool pics that I took while we were there.
